Local Love in a Global Crisis: Round 2

The Government of Canada is releasing the balance of the $350 million Emergency Community Support Fund (ECSF)in a second round of funding ($73.9).  These funds are available to support communities continuing to address the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, to help charities and non-profit organizations adapt and increase frontline services for vulnerable populations. Applications can begin submitting applications October 5, 2020.

The federal government has partnered with United Way Centraide Canada(UWCC), the Canadian Red Cross (CRC) and the Community Foundations of Canada (CFC) to deliver this funding to community service organizations across Canada.

The first round of ECSF funding supported dozens or organization in Cumberland County to adapt and deliver critical support until March 31, 2021.

We are pleased to share that a second application for ECSF is available from October 5th, and will remain open until October 30th at 4 p.m.

Local registered charities who serve people primarily impacted by poverty are eligible to apply.  As with previous application, funds must be used by March 31, 2021.
